Your challenge
As process engineer you contribute to an improvement culture by initiating, analyzing and implementing process improvement and other projects on the production floor. You are an analyst, a problem solver and an activator. As an analyst, you discuss processes across departments to have a global overview and you look for weaknesses and opportunities for improvement. As problem solver, you look for solutions together with process operators and other stakeholders. As an activator, you translate ideas and suggestions into concrete actions and you follow them up (via DMAIC methodology). You will also build up expertise and use it to improve the technical knowledge of the team and to provide tools, methodologies and guidelines to improve the production organisation.

Your profile
For the position of process engineer you require a higher technical degree (bachelor or master), preferably in (electro)mechanics, production management or bio sciences, or equivalent through experience. You have at least 3 years of work experience in a similar or relevant function. You have a pragmatic approach. Your communication skills enable you to take on your role as analyst and activator with the process operators and other internal stakeholders. As you are a member of an international company, you are able to communicate well in English, in word and written. Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.

About the organisation
You will join an international company, with short term ambitions to expand activities in Belgium. The activities in the Belgium plant in the Waasland area combines logistics with production. The production process uses chemicals, but the focus of the process engineer is on mechanics. Durability is an important aspect of the company’s product.
